Link to Eclipse Mylyn

A Team member wants to see and edit his Tasks in Eclipse. For that he installs an Eclipse Myling Connector plugin, that integrates Tasks from Kunagi into Eclipse.

eclipse.org/mylyn

It should be possible to, view, claim/unclaim and close Tasks.

That would be great .. however, do you add a level of taksa as well or only stories ?

This issue describes just the idea. We haven't thought about this feature enough, to answer your question.

I could imagine to display only the tasks in Eclipse, but it's just a first thought.

Absolutely mandatory feature, which would make the administration for the team much more productive.
Besides tasks, bugs shall be shown in Eclipse as well.

Providing a Mylyn integration would be a real afterburner for kunagi.

I'm trying it since today, managing some private projects. A friend uses it at work for 3 software teams. I also think about suggesting it to my colleagues as well.

Maybe I can help writing the Mylyn integration? I do not have alot amout of time, but before you postpone that important feature for some more months someone could start with it. ;)

In the end kunagi is alot easier to setup than icescrum, which gave me some headache with tomcat7 and their godd*** requirement to register just to read the documentation.

I also think this would be a killer feature and am willing to help.

Our idea was to implement sto186 first. When this is done, it should be easy to create such extensions.

@Marcel: To boost this feature, you could suggest me the service calls you would need to be able to write an external Mylin plugin. Example:

listTasks(projectId) // provides all tasks in the current sprint
claimTask(taskId) // assign the given task to the logged in user
...

Note that Mylyn requires more then R/O access sto186 aims.

This is a quite good overview:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylyn/Integrator_Reference#Tasks_API

I'm currently leeching the mylyn 3.8.0 api and would start small hacking sometime this week. I have to get a better overview of the mylyn api and the attributes it's relying on before I'm able say more about how the kunagi api should look like.

But it's very good that kunagi still lacks of a own api, because we're able to design the api to work well with tools like Mylyn. :)
