Copy issue data to story on conversion

Kunagi drops selected themes and comments when converting issue or idea into story. That's very inconvenient, since we can restore themes, but comments are lost forever. I think it's a natural way to keep associated issue attributes in story.

Statement from Kunagi Team

"Converting" Issues into Stories does not actually convert an entity, but

  1. closes the Issue and
  2. creates a new Story

In the Change History, you can see from what Issue a Story was created (and vice versa).

You can access old comments by going to the Issue the Story was created from.

Issue is closed.

Why can't I see a link to original issue? I see stories have a field "Related Issues", but it's always empty.

I still think new story should follow the same theme - same set of tags as original issue.

That is actually a glitch that we have to fix. I've created an Issue for that (iss716).

Related Stories and Related Issues shows all Issues and Stories that are related by a common Theme.

To see what Issue the Story was created from, please select "Show change history" from the Action Menu (drop down on the right of a Stories title bar).
