Passwords and Emails

Hi

I am able to create a user but unable to send a password or set a password for the user. Even if we do a Forget password, the new password says it has been sent to the email but it never reaches the email box of the user.

You have to configure a mail server.

Log in as system admin and configure the SMTP server in the administration view. There is a Send Test Email button, which you can use to check your configuration.

The administration view also contains a default password field. This password is assigned to every new user, created by the admin. It is also used when using the password reset feature.

Thank you for the prompt response.

In the admin view, I am unable to see any default password field.
The only fields available are:
1.Name
2. Email
3.Full name
4. OPen Id
5. Projects

Secondly the projects field is also not editable.

This is the wrong view.

You have to log in as admin. After login you should be in the project selector view. Click on System Configuration. If you are in the project selector, but in some project, go to Administration -> System Configuration. You will find the Email section there.
