Custom Estimated Work
Can we set custom Estimated Work, instead of using the defaults?
Statement from Kunagi Team
(The question refers to values for Story estimation in Story Points, not estimated work in hours for Tasks.)
We have picked the values for two reasons:
- It is very common for Scrum.
- Estimation of Stories should not be seen as estimation of work, but rather of the complexity of Stories. Different people might need a different amount of time putting the Stories into practice. Estimation becomes increasingly inaccurate with increasing complexity. The row does reflect that by taking bigger steps with increasing number. The number also allow for good combination of values (i.e. "Story C is roughly as complex as Story A and Story B.").
It is very unlikely that we will make that customizable in Kunagi, because few people request in and one of our design principles says to favour good defaults over customization.
You can, however, change Kunagi to create your custom version under the AGPL license (http://kunagi.org/download.html). As far as I recall, the values are kept in two easy-to-find variables. You would have to maintain your changes through upcoming Kunagi versions though.

I do not entirely understand your question. Du you mean the estimation of Tasks? kunagi presets it to 1 hour and allows to subsequently adjust that value. What did you have in mind?

The estimated work value of the product backlog items, currently it sticks to the standard SCRUM ones (0,0.5,1 etc.) but can we input unique numbers?
