Whiteboard has a lot of white space

Even though I have a large screen I still have to do a fair bit of scrolling down to whiteboard to access stories/tasks. A lot of it is taken up by white space.

Is it possible to make it more compact so that items are easier to access. Some suggestions:

• move the "Create task" button to the story heading/line/bar.
• compact story lines if zero tasks, expand as necessary
• sort completed stories last
• have the red/orange/green headings at the top

We don't want to sort completed Stories last, because this would undermine the original Story priority. The remaining suggestions boil down to Stories using less space if they contain little information. For this, see sto253. Other improvements could happen with a UI redesign (sto234).
